LIVE Events that focus on people and purpose
The Challenge
FirstEnergy, a leading energy provider, underwent a significant leadership change with the appointment of a new CEO. To foster transparency, engagement, and direct communication, the CEO introduced a quarterly town hall initiative. These events needed to take place at various FirstEnergy office locations, accommodating 200 employees in person while simultaneously streaming to over 12,000 employees company-wide. The company required a seamless, high-quality production that ensured both in-person attendees and remote viewers had an engaging and interactive experience. Managing logistics, production, and design for such a large-scale hybrid event posed a significant challenge.
The Process
FirstEnergy partnered with Redstory to develop a comprehensive, turnkey solution tailored to their needs. Redstory handled every aspect of the event, including production, event design, and full-scale event management. The in-person experience was meticulously crafted to foster engagement, featuring dynamic staging, professional audiovisual setups, and interactive elements. Meanwhile, Redstory’s streaming capabilities ensured that employees across multiple locations could experience the town halls with high-quality video, crystal-clear audio, and seamless connectivity. Every aspect, from technical execution to audience interaction, was optimized to align with FirstEnergy’s leadership vision.
The Results
The quarterly town hall events have successfully enhanced communication between leadership and employees, reinforcing company culture and trust. Employees—both in person and remote—reported a significantly improved connection with leadership, thanks to the high-quality, engaging format. The seamless execution of these events helped establish a new standard for internal communications at FirstEnergy, ensuring every team member, regardless of location, had access to direct and meaningful engagement with leadership. Redstory’s end-to-end event management and streaming solutions proved to be a pivotal factor in making these town halls a resounding success.
